What types of publications are available? |
The Indian National Science Academy's primary objectives and other related activities include recognizing excellence in science and its application, organizing lectures and group discussions, etc. for the promotion of international understanding and publishing the proceedings/journals/memoirs. The Academy brings out journals, special reports, monographs and other regular publications in the fields of pure & applied mathematics, physical, biological, Applied Sciences, Engineering and the History of science. |

How do I search for a particular article? |
To look for the article of interest you may either use the basic journal search, which is available on the top bar throughout the site or the Advanced Search. Basic Journal search can be used to search on the basis of keywords only. Through Advanced Search you can search on the basis of various criteria like keyword, article title, author, journal volume, journal issue, journal year, etc. You will find more comprehensive information in the Search Help section. |

Do I need any special software installed to read the journals? |
All the articles are available in the pdf format and require the Adobe Reader installed on your PC. To download the Reader, click on the Get Adobe Reader button on the left panel. On successful download, locate the exe file and double click to install the Reader on your PC. |

How can I read an article? |

Each journal comprises various articles. To read an article on a particular subject, first search for the article (through journal search or advanced search). In the search results page, click on the Read Article link of the article of preference. The article will open in the Adobe Reader.
Please note that to read the articles available on the INSA site, you have to login to the site. If you have not yet registered with us, you may do so through the ‘Register’ link present at the bottom in the ‘User Login’ box.

Can I read the articles without registering to the website? |
No. The articles that are available online can be viewed by registered users only. Registration is free and will provide you with your personal login details (username and password), which will allow you to read the articles/publications presented online. |

Are the journals/articles available for free use or will I have to pay for them? |
All the journals/articles are available for free online access; the only requisite is that you must be a registered member of our site (registration is free). Apart from online reading, you can also order (link this text to the ‘how can I order for books’ FAQ) for the journal(s) of choice whereby we will send you the physical copies of the book. The cost of the various journals is available on the Contact Us page of the site. |

Can I print chapters or pages I want to use for my research? |
Yes. The journal is available in the pdf format and can be viewed in the Adobe Reader. You can comprehensively print the required content of reference. |

How often are the journals updated? |
The Indian Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics is a bi-monthly publication. The Proceedings of the Indian National Science Academy and the Indian Journal of History of Science are published quarterly.

How can I order for books? |

All orders will have to be placed through our Order Form (available on the Contact Us page).
To place an order:
| • | Download, print and fill in your correct details in the order form and send the same to
INDIAN NATIONAL SCIENCE ACADEMY, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi - 110 002. |
| • | Once we receive the order form (duly filled and signed by you), we will send a Proforma Invoice for the purchase amount (includes the value of the publications ordered and postage charges) at the address mentioned in your form. |
| • | On receipt of the invoice, you may send a demand draft for the amount in favour of the Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi at the address mentioned above. |
| • | The order would normally be executed within a fortnight of the receipt of the payment. |
Please note that the order fulfillment is subject to availability of stock. Part supply will be made if all the books required by you are not available at the time of execution of order.
